River Landing at Sandy Ridge is pleased to announce the expansion of its continuing care retirement community located on 162-acres in Colfax, NC. The planned development, set to begin summer 2018, includes 22 cottage homes, 36 hybrid apartments, wellness center addition, health care renovation and a new clubhouse for the existing golf course.
The expansion of River Landing at Sandy Ridge will bring the total housing units to 356 increasing the capacity to accommodate approximately 600 residents. Pre-selling of cottages and hybrid apartments is expected to begin in the spring.
The clubhouse, overlooking the River Landing at Sandy Ridge golf course, will include a pro-shop, pub, indoor and outdoor dining and multipurpose event space. The wellness center addition will have a half gym for basketball, volleyball and pickle ball as well as a huge exercise equipment room, second floor walking track and a classroom.
The health care renovation will provide health care residents the opportunity to have a new bistro experience for them and their guests to enjoy. It will also create a more private household setting for residents that will more properly align physical space to River Landing’s person-centered care programming.
Cottages included in the new development will offer two and three bedroom floorplans. The cottage sizes will range from approximately 1,800 – 2,300 square feet and will come with spacious sunrooms, walk-in closet in the master bedroom, a front porch, covered back porch and attached garage with storage room. The cottages will feature granite countertops, tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, crown molding, hardwood flooring, laundry rooms, large closets throughout, and a fireplace upgrade option.
The hybrid apartments will be a completely new offering for the River Landing at Sandy Ridge community. Apartments will range from approximately 1,500 – 2,000 square feet and will come with underbuilding parking, large spacious balconies, golf course views, and will be within walking distance to the new clubhouse. The apartments will feature granite countertops, tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, crown molding, hardwood flooring, laundry rooms and large centralized storage units.
